I believe deeply in the power of synagogue life and Jewish learning to better our lives and the lives of the people around us. I also love havruta, the tradition of studying Jewish text in pairs and small groups. As the rabbis say, that’s iron sharpening iron. I hope we can help to sharpen each other’s thinking and deepen our empathy for people from all walks of life.
